OUR MISSION

Nyang’ (crocodile) is a species of reptile found along the shores of Lake Victoria, it's Tong (egg) is a very precious and vital stage in it's development and therefore it protects it dearly. Our city, Kisumu, also stands on Lake Victoria's shore. We recognise in our children and young people artistic talents which we believe are precious and vital, by protecting and nurturing these talents we can help this creative generation to grow and flourish, to be valued by society, and to respect and value eachother.

OUR VISION

Our vision is for a society where artistic talents and creativity are nurtured and valued for the great contribution which we believe they can make to our social and economic progress.

WHO WE ARE and WHAT WE DO

We are a group of enterprising young artists, aged 18-35, who have come together to support each other and to develop community initiatives that foster and encourage the creative talents of the children and young people of Kisumu, Kenya. To this end we hold children's workshops teaching and encouraging the performing and visual arts in the peri-urban and slum areas of Kisumu.
